With skiing and snow never far from the minds of ski town locals and ski resorts, August is starting to see more ski resort jobs posted around the web with resorts getting ready for the upcoming 2009/10 ski season. Here is a look at some of the latest available jobs at Deer Valley Resort located in Park City, Utah.
Seasonal
* Ski Instructor
If you enjoy working with children and families we want you! Preferably you will have certification or have knowledge of ISIA/PSIA teaching methodology. You should be an advanced skier that can ski beginner through advanced terrain in variable conditions and would like to teach group or private lessons.
* Ski Patrol
EMT Certification or National Ski Patrol OEC required. Must have a current CPR card and be an expert skier in all conditions and terrain. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Must provide own ski equipment. Prior ski patrol experience helpful. This position requires an interview with the Ski Patrol Manager.
* Child Care Teacher
Creative and enthusiastic teachers wanted to work with children ranging in ages from 6 weeks to 12 years old in our beautiful state licensed child care facility. Organize daytime educational and recreational activities as well as lunch.
* Cook
Depending upon experience you may be preparing a’la carte menus, buffet style set-ups and service, line cook, line set-ups and serving Deer Valley Guests. Accepting applications for all levels of experience. Variety of day and night shifts available including full and part-time hours.
* Lift Operator
Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of our 21 ski lifts, check for valid lift tickets and provide well organized lift lines. Other duties include shoveling snow giving directions and providing other information to our guests. Applicants must be outgoing and physically fit. Skiing ability preferred but not required.
Full-time Year Round
* Building Maintenance Tech II
Staff/Year-round position responsible for maintenance and repair of Deer Valley Resort’s three beautiful day lodges. Mechanical, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration and plumbing skills helpful
