Something about spring skiing … skiing down the mountain wearing just a t-shirt and light breathable ski pants … a perfect bluebird day … the sun beating down on your face … high altitude … it just has a way of washing all your cares and worries away.
May sound a bit dramatic, but I really have felt that way more than a few times over the years. Having friends that are above and beyond the average skier and others that barely ski at all (me being the in between), I have found that spring has always had a way of bringing us all together. Everybody’s up and out on the mountain and just having a good time.
For the many locals who are getting weary of winter, some cabin fever setting in, a little sunshine and warmer temperatures is sure to go a long way. Ski resorts are now gearing up to celebrate spring and the exceptional ski season that everyone has been so lucky to enjoy. For a taste of spring in the mountains, check out some of ski country’s great upcoming festivals, concerts and events …

Don’t forget Sunsation the next two weekends at Copper Mountain! The only trouble with spring is that we get a warm day then get two cold ones, but those warm ones are really nice this year! It has been a cold winter, but the snow has been awesome.
